The Cadence Community was in need of a new website. After our initial discovery we designed a website that answered many of the questions they received via phone calls throughout the day. This helped free up staff to do more in-person tours and applications.

Apartments247 came to us to rebuild and redesign their corporate map solution. We started from the ground up and build them a product to be proud of. A product that could easily accomplish the goals of their clients.

To develop a corporate map system to showcase a portfolio of community properties belonging to Multi Housing Corporations across the United States.
Project Duration
The project was developed over the course of 3 weeks.
the Problem
The major issue they had was their current map was not mobile friendly. We decided to start their tackling all the issues on mobile first.
the goal
The Goal was to insure that all tasks could be completed on mobile easily and quick.
My Role
Lexcolor was in charge of the entire process from discovery to development.
Responsibilities
Our responsibility was to deliver a superior product that could scale in the future.
User Research: Summary
During the discovery phase of the project we spoke with leadership at 247 to identify their demographic and user base. We learned that this map would be used by property managers to locate other properties for potential renters. It would also be used by investors to identify investment opportunities. Lastly it would be used as a portfolio for the corporation to showcase and display their communities when seeking future capital or investments.

The initial pain point was the map was not mobile friendly

The second pain point was the map was slow and couldnt showcase more than 5 properties at a time. So scalability was an issue.

Problem Statement:
Many times investors or future residents wanted to view model properties and talk about other communities. We constantly had to be going back into the office to our desktop computer to talk about what other properties we had. We needed a mobile solution to be able to have these discussions anywhere anytime.
"The old map is cumbersome its clunky and slow and doesn't work on mobile. We want something people can use as a tool and accomplish multiple tasks via a cell."
